Zenzelé J. Moore-Ysaguirre is currently a senior at the University of Southern California in the School of Cinematic Arts with an emphasis in Cinema and Media Studies. Zenzelé recently completed high school at the Los Angeles County High School for the Arts where she was awarded Outstanding Achievement in Cinematic Arts. She is the 2020 Scout Film Festival Grant Winner for ages 18 and under. 

 

As a Cinematographer, Camera PA, 1st AC, and Camera Operator, Zenzelé has worked on over 50 short films, music videos, and tv productions including HBO’s Euphoria Season 2. Most recently she was the cinematographer for two music videos that screened at NFFTY, National Film Festival for Talented Youth - one of which was nominated for best student music video.  She was the cinematographer for Moon and the Brightest Star which screened at the 19th Annual Queer Women of Color Film Festival. Zenzelé was the cinematographer for Ghetto Film School and Neutrogena Studios' production of En Avant (dir. Sarah Jean Williams), which has generated over 1 million views, screened at Sundance, and various other festivals, and was the recipient of numerous awards. She also collaborated with Sarah Jean Williams and Ghetto Film School on the short film Trapped which screened in the Huntington Library’s exhibition titled REIMAGINING PORTRAITURE in San Morino, CA. 
 
Through the art of cinematography, Zenzelé loves capturing stories that are inclusive, truthful, intimate, imaginative, and liberating to the human experience. She also uses her cinematography to evoke emotion, document moments in history, and above all else inspire others with nuanced cinematic storytelling.
